 Moi University

Moi University was established in 1984 by an Act of Parliament, making it the second public university in Kenya. This was in response to the growing need for higher education in the country. The university was named after Daniel arap Moi, the then President of Kenya, who championed the idea of establishing a university in a rural setting.

MOI UNIVERSITY ALUMI AND THEIR IMPACT ON THE SOCIETY 

Aden Burale Duale 

Aden Bare Duale EGH (Somali: Aadan Barre Ducaale) is a Kenyan politician who served as the Cabinet Secretary for Defence in the cabinet of President William Ruto,[1][2] having assumed the position on 31 October 2022.[3] He was dismissed on July 11, 2024 and then reinstated on July 19, 2024[4] in a different capacity as Cabinet Secretary Ministry of Environment, Climate Change and Forestry.

He enrolled in Moi University for his undergraduate studies in education before transferring to Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture & Technology for his master's degree in business administration (MBA).



Honorable kithuri kindiki

His honorable kithure kindiki was sworn in following the impeachment of the former deputy president rigathi gachagua 

Kindiki was a lecturer at the Moi University. He also served as a Senior Lecturer and the Head of the Department of Public Law at the University of Nairobi. He rose to be an Associate Dean at the School of Law in the same institution. He also served as the Secretary of National Cohesion under President Mwai Kibaki.

As a deputy president he has impacted lives of millions of kenyans through government projects .

His position as the current president played a crucial role in the reviving of academic excellence in moi university seens the university was facing financial breakdowns .

Since his his inauguration he has notably put work into progress ,where he has launched notable projects..such as electicity transformers which offer stable electricity flow to the society. 


In a nutshell the impacts of moi university alumni cannot gone unnoticed ...more of the few have made a landmark impact on their field of professionalism.

Politics: Several prominent politicians, including former presidents and ministers, are alumni of Moi High School Kabarak. Their time at the school shaped their leadership skills and understanding of governance.

 Business: Moi alumni have founded and led successful businesses across various sectors, contributing to economic growth and job creation.

 Education: Many alumni have become educators and administrators, shaping the minds of future generations and contributing to the development of the education system.

In addition to these individual achievements, Moi alumni associations play a vital role in supporting the school and its students. They provide mentorship, scholarships, and resources to ensure that the legacy of excellence continues.
